Hendrick and Prudence were both from Richmond in Cheshire County, New Hampshire
where they were married on October 30, 1796.
Hendrick was born there as on July 1st in 1770 as the son of John Martin and Sarah Winter.
Based on Prudence's death record she was born on August 19 in 1777 probably in
Cheshire County, New Hampshire. At this writing, her parent's names are not known.

Vermont
Hendrick and Prudence had 8 children all born in Richmond. Sometime after 1820 they
moved to Barton in one of the most northern counties in Vermont, Orleans.
At age 67 Hendrick died on July 15, 1837 in Barton and is buried there with his wife.
Prudence lived another 37 years and died at age 96 on May 19 in 1874 in Barton.
