Storm At Sea Quilt
Storm At Sea Quilt was started at a retreat in 2012, from a pattern in
Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting, March/April 2006. I collected
fabrics for this quilt and put the fabrics and pattern in a "project bag"
for the future. I used a design wall to arrange the blocks to get the
colors to flow from top to bottom. The quilt was machine-pieced and
hand-quilted with grid lines that follow the seam lines, and wavy lines
in the border.
I entered the quilt in the 2014 Cass County, Missouri quilt show, and received a red ribbon and a judges' merit award.
