Split Geese Quilt |
Donna Lynn Thomas, of Basehor, Kansas, gave a workshop to the Raymore Quilt Guild
for the November 2014 meeting. I brought scrap fabrics to learn this technique,
using her special “on-point ruler” she had designed. It is an interesting concept,
of measuring the block along the diagonal, for those sections that are to be on-point
within another square. It is much easier to cut 2” diagonal, than 1 5/16” across the square!
I thought the ruler made it so easy, that I finished all nine blocks, then added the half-square triangles in the border. Being from scraps, it turned out to be a very colorful quilt. |
