Barred Owl

This quilt is a window blanket that covers one of our dining room windows during the winter time. The design is one of Nancy's originals and she hand pieced and quilted it.
We actually have a barred owl that frequents our part of the woods and we often hear him in the early morning through our bedroom window with its distinctive call: "Hoohoo-Hoohoo Hoohoo-Hoohooaw", with the 'aw' kind of fading away. On a few occasions we have seen this bird as well.
