Nate's Graduation Quilt
Nate's Graduation Quilt was made for my youngest grandson upon his graduation
from high school in June 2013. As he was growing up, his mother saved some
of his drawings and sent me to make into a quilt.
Each block is a drawing he made between the ages of 5 and 10. Some of the blocks were reproduced as fabric applique, the more complicated drawings were scanned and printed on printer fabric. The blocks were placed in order of the year he drew it.
The quilt was hand-appliqued and machine-pieced, then machine-quilted a block at a time, then the backings were joined and turned to the front to form the sashing between the blocks.
