Midnight Sun Quilts
Strips of fabric from light to dark to piece together, then triangles are cut from these strips for the quilt. One quilt has a triangle that shows mostly dark fabrics, while the next triangle cut from the strip-pieced fabric shows mostly light fabrics.
Both quilts are the same pattern but with different fabric showing, they look like different quilts.
The darker quilt was completed in 2010 and the lighter quilt was finished in 2011; each took about 60 hours to hand-quilt.
Both quilts were machine-pieced and hand-quilted.
