Christmas Crazy Quilt |
This Christmas Crazy quilt was made during a Scrapper's Quilt Guild workshop
in one day since it was machine-pieced. The 12 blocks were made from
12 fat quarters, that were "crazy cut", then each stack was rotated
so that each of the 12 fabrics appeared in each block. The blocks were
sewn together without any sashing to appear to be one big crazy square.
The excess fabric was used as the first border, then the red and green
border fabric was also used for the matching binding to yield a 50" by 50"
finished quilt.
The top of the quilt was machine-pieced and machine-quilted by Nancy E. Miller in 2008. A poinsettia stencil was quilted over each of the 12 blocks and a holly vine was quilted over the two borders. |
