Isabella's Baby Quilt

This baby quilt was made for the first grandbaby of our dear Danish friends, Henning and Lisbeth. Isabella was born 30 September 2009 weighing 3760 grams (8.3 pounds) and measuring 50 centimeters (19.7 inches) long! Isabella's parents are Malene and Kasper.

The quilt measures 36" by 48" with the bunny made out of white dotted swiss, to give a soft feel. The bunny rabbit and the carrots have a layer of batting behind them before they were appliqued onto the quilt top. The handmade quilt (which was machine-pieced, hand-appliqued, machine- and hand-quilted) has binding from the scraps left from making the quilt.
