This quilt was made for my husband’s daughter’s 50th birthday. She saw the
pattern in a magazine (Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting, July/August
2011) and really liked it because it was blues and greens. I purchased the
fabric at a fabric shop in Jasper, Alberta, Canada during our Canada trip
I machine-pieced the top then found a blue-green print for the back and hand-quilted it. I quilted a feather design in each block that curves around the small square, with a rose quilted in the small square. I quilted around the flowers in the border print and bound it with the border fabric.
