Lillian had 2 older brothers, Elmer and William, both remaining in Minnesota when the family moved to Iowa. The oldest son, Elmer Alden, married Anna Wright in Mankato on July 3rd in 1888. However, she dies just six months later on January 23, 1889. Elmer remained in Mankato and on May 25, 1892 he remarries, this time to an Anna Schwarz. There are no children born to this couple who eventually move to Albert Lea, Minnesota, where Elmer dies of cancer in 1918 on February 19th.
