James Edward was listed in the census records as a Physican. He married Frances C. Coleman in Grundy County, Illionis on Dec 30, 1886. There only son, Maurice Ulysses, was born in Gardner in Grundy County, Illinois. In 1910 James was found in Morristown in Carson County, South Dakota, however, his wife was still living in Illinois. They were still married, just living separately. Their son remained in Illinois and married there about 1913. In 1920 James was still living and practicing medicine in Morristown, South Dakota. He is listed in 1920 as a widow, so Frances died sometime between 1910 and 1920. By 1918 Maurice had moved to South Dakota also. James died on October 13, 1923 in South Dakota, probably in Morristown.
