Asa Osgood Whitcomb married Almira Woodstock about 1855 probably in Vermont since it is known that she was the daughter of Peter and Eliza Woodcock from Caledonia County, Vermont. Almira was born there in Danville Township about 1836. Asa Osgood and Almira had 3 children: Ada, Eri, and Rufus.

Ada was born on June 18, 1856 in Marshfield, Washington County, Vermont. She never married and died in Fall River, in Bristol County, Massachuetts. She is buried with her parents in Marchfield.

Eri was born on April 17, 1858 in Mansfield in Lamoille County, Vermont. Eri married twice, first to Annie Burnap on Christmas day in 1889 in Marshfield, then, after Annie's death in 1905 in Marshfield, he married Eva Sari Patterson on June 18, 1908 in Marshfield. Eri had no children from either marriage. Rufus born November 23, 1862 in Marshfield. He married Minnie Adams on June 1, 1896 in Manchester in Hellsborough, New Hampshire. They had no children. Rufus died on June 14, 1913 in Marshfield.

Almira died at age 33 on November 23, 1869 in Marshfield, Washington County, Vermont. A little over a year later on February 22, 1871, Asa Osgood was remarried in Marshfield to Emily F. Storrs who was born about 1833 based on the 1880 U. S. Census. Asa and Emily had no children. Asa Osgood died on August 2nd in 1889 at age 61 also in Marshfield. Emily lived another 20 years, dying on May 31, 1907 while living in Burlington, Vermont They are both buried in Dwinell-Beaver Cememtery in Marshfield.
